When to handle orders yourself
Fulfillment by seller might be right if your products aren’t ideal for fulfillment by Topsell—for instance, hazardous goods that don’t meet fulfillment center requirements or seasonal products that would incur excessive storage fees. Also, you may not need fulfillment by Topsell if you already have a logistics network in place.
In cases like these, fulfillment by seller allows you to:
- Keep your inventory on hand
- Use your own packaging or labels
- Stay profitable on products with tighter margins
- Offer products that are eligible for sale on Topsell, but ineligible for fulfillment by Topsell.
Identifying dangerous goods
Dangerous goods (hazmat) are divided into nine classes (with several subdivisions) on the basis of the specific characteristics producing the risk. Please note that some of the classes or divisions listed below cannot be sold through Fulfillment by Topsell.

- Flammable Liquids.
- Flammable solids.
- Oxidizing.
- Toxic.
- Infectious.
- Radioactive.
- Corrosives.
Finding additional information about products that may be regulated as dangerous goods
Any warning labels or warning phrases on a product package indicates that it might be regulated as a dangerous good. Some products that are regulated as dangerous goods do not require warning labels or phrases (cosmetics and speakers containing magnetized material, for example). The absence of any labels or warnings does not mean they are not dangerous goods.
If you think your product might be regulated as a dangerous good, contact the manufacturer or supplier, and ask if your product is regulated. The manufacturer is required to provide you with a complete Safety Data Sheet for all regulated products.
